About Me

Sherrell Johnson is an actress, singer, songwriter, and performer. A Jersey native, she attended David Brearley High School where she participated in the theatrical productions every season. In addition, she attended Huff & Puff Sounds conservatory where she took acting, voice and dance classes. On top of training at Huff & Puff conservatory, she was a part of Young Ambition Dance Company and has taken several classes at Broadway Dance located in New York. She studied dance:  Hip Hop, Modern, Jazz, Salsa, Afro- Cuban, and Tap.

 

In addition to that training, she worked with Vy Higginson and Cissy Houston in the Gospel group, Gospel for Teens. She had the opportunity to work with different music masters and musicians already in the business granting her professional experience. Sherrell graduated from Drew University where she studied Theatre and music, and produced projects as well.

Another conservatory she attended was T. Schreiber Studios where she studied acting, voice, speech, and body dynamics. She has been in many independent films and Off Broadway shows and is a current member of The Actors Project New York City where she performs Off Broadway productions with them each season.

Sherrell trained at New York Combat for Stage and Screen, she learned Sword Training (Long sword, Saber, Knife, and Dagger), Fencing, and Unarmed Combat & Stunt Fighting.
